Talleres Cortés visits Latin America

During the last two weeks of November, representatives from Talleres Cortés, D. Emilio Cortés and D. Alejandro Bileni have been visiting clients in Latin America, especially in Argentina.

Both current and potential customers have known all punches innovations and new designs for tiles moulds that are so valued in these markets, especially for the inkjet technologies.

Latin American market is one
of the most interested areas for the company, where our precision moulds are unrivaled in terms of quality and customer service.

And, as they proudly say, “it’s funny that now the crisis is global, but here there is no crisis.” This is what said Uruguayan playwright Gabriel Calderon at the opening of the annual meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) held recently in Montevideo.

And there is no wonder that, even being the countries most dependent on exports to Europe (Chile, Costa Rica, Brazil, Honduras, Argentina, Peru and Uruguay), but only 16% of exports are destined for European markets, and this would partly explain why Latin America has not been infected, fortunately, much of the European crisis.

As witnessed in the global crisis of 2008, Latin America has the experience and the tools to defend another debacle. The region offers unprecedented levels of reserves in their central banks, about US 765,000 million. It is the second region with over Treasuries U.S.. The debt burden has declined to 35% of GDP.

Even so, last year, amid the crisis in Europe, Latin America broke its historical brand FDI: US 138.000 million.

Therefore, it is not surprising that this dynamic area of the world economically appreciates the quality and service of products manufactured by Talleres Cortés since more than 60 years.
